The next generation in Puma’s lightweight football boots silo, the Puma evoSPEED 1 is here.
Designed around the principal of ‘light, flex & fit’, the goal of the Puma evoSPEED 1 is to create one of the single best performing lightweight soccer shoes on the market today.
Using an all-new single-piece synthetic upper, the evoSPEED 1 offers an exceptional feel for the ball, whilst moulding seamlessly with the players foot for an excellent fit.
Crafted from a super-thin microfibre upper, the Puma evoSPEED 1 is designed to be incredibly reactive and flexible, whilst an adiZero-style internal support system comes from the new Puma EverFit cage to provide a solid level of reinforcement.
The forefoot vamp is coated in unique, textured modules that increase friction on every touch, for great contact on spin in just about any conditions, whilst still weighing in at 6.4oz/181g.
The soleplate eschews the bladed configuration of every v1 series cleat for the past 6 years in favour of a combination uniquely-shaped moulded studs and heels, whilst there is now no carbon-fibre in the sole, with Puma instead preferring a single-piece TPU outsole to provide traction, support and power.
Puma also bring their award-winning AptoLast system to the evoSPEED, to provide a secure, supportive pre-shaped fit to their latest football boots.
With a summer of sporting goodness upon us, Puma are launching the Puma evoSPEED name as a cross-category initiative, with footwear being worn by golf, motorsport, cricket and – of course – running, with the man who inspired Puma’s new speed shoes (Usain Bolt) set to debut the running spike evoSpeed at the Olympics this summer.
As for football, Puma’s season-winning star Sergio Aguero, Europa League champion Radamel Falcao and Champions League finalist Mario Gomez will all adopt the Puma evoSPEED 1 as their football boots of choice, and all of Puma’s speed athletes will wear them during Euro 2012, the Olympic Football tournament and pre-season tours.
Expect to pay £135 for the Soft Ground version of the evoSPEED 1, with the FG version slightly cheaper at £130, and a K-Leather version to be launched soon.

terrible
since first adizero was introduced, the soleplates of the speed boots look more and more similar ( like the one by adidas). So why so many people complain about adizero’s bad grip?
