When it comes to blurring the lines between football and fashion, very few manage it with as much triumph as Umbro.
After launching a new casual shoe inspired by their signature Speciali football boot earlier in the year, Umbro look back to the turf for stimulus as they launch their Umbro New Blue collection.
Using the classic 80’s-90’s Drill Top as it’s muse, the new' Umbro New Blue collection is all about taking the classic garments that used to keep footballers warm during winter training, and transferring that into some street-savvy new outerwear.
From Track-tops, to sweatshirts to the now-classic Umbro anthem jacket, all of the items in the' Umbro New Blue collection feature a – you guessed it – signature navy hue, that can be anything from a washed-out denim shade to vintage petroleum blue.
The centrepiece of the collection is the drill top itself; detailed with a distinctive faded finish, ribbed crew-neck collar and elasticated cuffs, finished off with an uncompromising Umbro logo on the right-hand side of the chest.
The' Umbro New Blue collection starts from £25 and is available on Umbro.com from today.
like it!
Umbro do seem to be producing some decent gear.
Just a shame that SportsDirect have turned the brand into rich mans Lonsdale.
where can i purchases this jumper from? or can you? it doesn’t seem to appear on the website.
Hi Stephen, as this collection is almost 18 months old, it’s become pretty hard to get hold of.
If we could recommend a way of getting hold of it, it would be eBay or Amazon outlet stores for sites like SportsDirect or JDSports – the good news is it should be pretty cheap by now if you can find them!
Good luck!
