LEO MESSI’S ADIDAS F50 MICOACH STATS

Since the miCoach launched on football boots nearly 10 months ago, adidas have been slowly feeding us information gathered the cleats from top players – with Dani Alves’ el Clasico performance being the most notable.

Now, adidas have finally given us the stats we’ve all been waiting for, as they give us an insight into Leo Messi’s miCoach data.

Leo Messi's miCoach data from Argentina's 2012 Friendly with Germany

Gathered during Argentina’s 3-1 win over Germany in Frankfurt last week, the data captured by the Speed_Cell in Leo Messi’s F50 adiZero football boots offers a fascinating insight into the in’s and out’s of a match for a professional footballer.

The game itself was more-or-less dominated by Argentina, as Germany played around an hour of the game with only 10 men after the sending off of their goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler.

Whilst Messi missed the penalty that followed the Zieler’s sending off, the Barca ace wasn’t to be denied – grabbing La Albiceleste‘s second goal of the game by finishing off a sweeping move early in the second half.

Summary Stats of Leo Messi's miCoach data

As always, the ‘Summary Stats’ make for fascinating reading, as well as interesting comparison if you also own a miCoach compatible boot.

The diminutive forward maxed out his speed at 30.71 km/h (that’s 19.08 mph) during the friendly, and covered 8.49km across the 90 minutes.

Messi also hit his sprint speed 44 times during the match, covering 965m – giving Leo an average sprint distance of 21.93 metres; enough to make a lung-busting run into the box or track back into position.

adidas F50 adiZero - Metallic Silver / Infrared

As you already probably know, all this data was captured by Messi’s exclusive new Metallic Silver / Infrared F50 adiZero boots with miCoach compatibility, with Messi preferring the Leather version over the synthetic on this (and just about every other) occasion.

How do you stack up against the three-time Ballon D’Or winner?
