The Mizuno Morelia is one of the all-time classic football boots; superb touch, comfortable and durable. What happens when you take all the things that make the Morelia great and make it weigh 180g? The Mizuno Morelia Neo explores that uncharted territory.
Following on from the stunning Morelia Ultralight from last season, the Mizuno Morelia Neo combines that classic Mizuno Morelia level of comfort and ball feel and drops the weight to a stunning 180g per boot (in a UK 8.5, US 9).
Just for some context, that beats out the adiPure SL and Superfly III, and is a mere 5g heavier than the goleo leather adiZero!
How have Mizuno done it?
Well, the forefoot of the Mizuno Morelia Neo is that classic K-Leather we’ve come to know and love, but the heel section of the boot is replaced with an ultra light synthetic.
Mizuno have also re-engineered the soleplate. Whilst retaining the look and feel of a classic 13-stud configuration, the whole chassis is significantly lighter than the standard Morelia.
Performance
– K-Leather forefoot for excellent touch and ball feel
– Classic Moulded 13-stud configuration
– Internal use of the classic Morelia tongue for reduced weight
– External heel counter for improved stability and protection
Comfort
– Anatomical Cup insole with High-Grip surface
– Central lacing to accommodate all shapes of feet
– Scotchguard-proofed upper for reduced water uptake
Release
The Mizuno Morelia Neo launches in December 2011 in Japan, with a European launch scheduled for February – just in time to be Mizuno’s ‘big sell’ at Euro 2012.
It’s also worth noting that the’ Mizuno Morelia Neo will hit shelves in Super White Pearl/Black and Green/Black, with both colourways costing 19,000 yen – boding well for a European price point of around £120.

Wow i used to be a Mizuno hater but as I’ve been eyeing their recent releases…they be good 🙂
Mizuno is such an underrated brand! I just wish their boots were a little bit easier to get outside Japan 🙁
Absolutely awsome boot!!! Just wish Mizuno had the high profile of the the big 3 as they make some amazing boots.
how can i get these in the U.S. Any website from overseas that will ship? i must have these
Just bought a pair for ÂŁ80,,,,$140
Hi all, I wanna get one of these but I don’t know about the sizing. I wear 9.5UK size in Nike vapors. Some information would be much appreciated. Thank you.
All Mizuno are true to size. Only time I would go half a size down with Mizuno’s is if you have a very very narrow foot that is short to medium in length, otherwise stick to your normal size.Â
Not a fan of the Supersonic Waves but the Morelia Ultra Lights are solid and the Wave Ignitus’ superb.
They are original Japanese engineered. All available for the price of 124 GBP excluding VAT…
Hulk wears these in the green colourway.
Best cleats ever made since creation of football !!
Can you still buy these?
