It’s the follow-up to what were arguably one of the finest all-around football boots on the market today, Mizuno look to strengthen their line-up once again, with the Mizuno Supersonic Wave 3.
Looking meaner and moodier than any of it’s predecessor’s colourways, the Mizuno Supersonic Wave 3 is the perfect balance of deadly and distinctive in the Black / Yellow / Silver colourway.
As with the previous two Supersonic Wave football boots, the focus of the Third incarnation is based on ludicrous close-control, for players who like to being the ball under their spell at high-speeds.
Mizuno’s technical expertise and elite football heritage has gone into developing the perfect boot for a new generation of high speed play. Offering luxurious fit blended with elite performance the revolutionary Mizuno Supersonic Wave 3 features an innovative new Feather Touch System (FTS) that employs low rebound sponge on the forefoot to aid ball control while dribbling at speed.
Structural overlays in the upper secure the foot whilst changing direction at pace, providing all-important confidence during high pressure situations on the field.
The Supersonic Wave 3 is one of Mizuno’s lightest and most innovative boots to date – weighing in at only 265 grams and maximising flexibility, stability and traction. The ultra technical design is combined with the highest grade kangaroo leather and suede collar lining to create the perfect fit, allowing the boot to deliver supreme control and support.
Mizuno’s trademark Wave configuration in the heel enhances stability and cushioning, while dual density studs create uncompromising comfort no matter how hard the ground may be. The tiger claw stud structure offers a hybrid construction that’s aimed to improve acceleration and lateral stability, essential for high speed ball control.
Brazil and Valencia CF forward Jonas Gonçalves Oliveira (commonly known as Jonas) has recently been brought in as an ambassador of this ground-breaking piece of football innovation.
“Mizuno are renowned for producing boots that enhance skill, flair and control and these are all important elements of a South American’s game,” said the 27 year old. “It is rare to find a boot that aids all the important movement patterns for someone who plays in my position so I am very excited about this partnership.”
We think the new Supersonic Wave 3 looks like a real stunner, and the Black in this awesome launch colourway really shows off how good the leather that the Japanese brand have brought to their latest creation.
What do you think of the new Mizunos? Does this brand just keep going from strength to strength?

Loooove the colours and that ‘curve’ in the soleplate, it makes them look more pre-moulded and comfortable
mizuno is by far the best boot manufacturer atm, completely underated 🙂
I owned original supersonic waves and II’s but these are identical to the 2’s other than the colour – I was expecting some amazing new tech or something to justify calling it the mizuno wave 3’s i’m just gonna stick with the neo’s
what are you talking about these are completely different than the 2s only the sole is the same.
Soft supple upper is super comfortable. Foot feels snug and coddled, but feels really stable and locked in place. A perfect blend of fit, feel, finish and confidence. I have wide feet and they fit way better than my Nike and Kelme with Kangaroo leather. Fit is true to size.
