The Tiempo Legend IV is all about taking the best of classic football boots design, and adding a modern twist. And nowhere has this principal been more apparent – and perhaps more clashing – than here on the new Nike Tiempo Legend IV – Summit White/Gold/Volt.
Whereas the classic black and white of the launch colourway melded seamlessly with the Max Orange of the tongue and heel tab, we definitely get the feeling that the new Nike Tiempo Legend IV – Summit White/Gold/Volt is likely to cause some debate amongst fans.
The White/Gold colourway has been a staple of the Tiempo range of football boots for the last 8 years or so, and has been a particular favourite amongst fans – thanks in part to it’s association with the Ronaldinho signature models.
But here Nike have teamed the regal white/gold combo with a neon volt (that appears on all their football boots for the next 3 months – bar the Nike T90 Laser IV) that certainly sticks out!
The Volt is used on the Nike Tiempo Legend IV – Summit White/Gold/Volt in some certainly interesting ways, lining the inside of the boot, crowning the studs and highlighting the branding on the tongue.
You’ll notice on the Elite model that it also appears on the heel tabs that boost visibility, and on small signature Nike tick on the all-gold tongue.
In a similar manner to the Orange of the launch colourway, the Elite version of the Nike Tiempo Legend IV – Summit White/Gold/Volt matches it’s contrasting tongue with some gold-coloured laces that really finish off a classy overall look.
The more we look at the latest Tiempo football boots from Nike, the more we like them!
However, we can’t help but guess there will be more than a few fans who won’t be completely sold on the Nike Tiempo Legend IV – Summit White/Gold/Volt, especially after such a strong launch colourway.
What do you think to Nike’s latest football boots?

Not too bad, but fluro green and gold do not mix well.
Horrid colour combination.
In general, Nike needs to ease off on the volt. It’s been used far too frequently.
Agreed.
And honestly, Nike haven’t come out with anything new here. The white/gold colourway has been used on both previous legends and the Ronaldinho Dois boots. They look class, but not anything to get excited about.
would have look much better without the “volt”Â
Im sticking with my black ones
damn nice, love white/gold boots like the r10 tiempos few years ago
but why one pic have gold laces and the other ones have white ones… its like the black ones with the orange laces?!
one is the regular version, the other is elite. Just like the black/orange ones
Same issue, looks good, too expensive.. Wonder hows the sales figure for the elite series so far
the white/gold combination just oozes class but the “volt” absolutely ruins it! 🙁
What is the obsession these days on trying to cram as many colours onto a boot as possible?? I honestly challenge you to find a boot with pretty much just 2 colours on it (excluding black/white -outs)
black should’ve replaced the volt colour. I think they look like ronaldinho’s old boots.
I absolutely love Tiempo’s and Nike have took the Tiempo range one step higher and the tongue design is waaaay comfier than the fold over tonge but and I like the black and orange than any others
