NIKE TIEMPO LEGEND IV – SOAR / WHITE

After being the most low-key of the Euro 2012 Clash Collection and started the new season in the somewhat-traditional Black/White/Red colourway, Tiempo fans have definitely got a colour to stand out in with the Nike Tiempo Legend IV – Soar / White!

Using the same ‘Soar’ Blue we saw grace the T90 Laser range at the end of last season, the Tiempo’s definitely have a bright, royal feel to them in this new colourway.

And whilst the Tiempo’s main man Gerard Pique will certainly find these boots a reasonable match for his Barcelona kit, the Premier League it full of Tiempo wearers who will have plenty of love for this colourway, with Chelsea’s Ashley Cole and Jolean Lescott and Everton trio Phil Neville, Marouane Fellaini and Nikica Jelavic all opting for Nike’s heritage-styled boot.

As classic as the design may look on the outside, the Nike' Tiempo Legend IV' – Soar / White' is practically bursting at the seams with clever touches to help them meet the demands of the modern game.

The stitching on the toes is laid out in the most practical way possible; the outstep’s ‘quilted’ design to prevent the boot from over-stretching, whilst the instep is left with just a few seams to provide a premium ball feel.

Natural leather is used in the forefoot for a supreme touch, whilst the midfoot and heel are cut from Nike’s Kangalite to help improve support and reduce water retention.

One new innovation to the Tiempo line on the Nike' Tiempo Legend IV' – Soar / White' is the use of Nike’s ACC – All Conditions Control.

This special coating is applied to the materials of the boot during production, and is designed to increase friction on the ball in any weather. So even when the surface is slick or the rain is pounding down, Nike say their ACC will leave you confident in your touch.

Interestingly, Nike seem to have called time on the Legend Elite – and whilst we certainly miss seeing the ‘Rolls-Royce’ Leather Flywire, Carbon Fibre soleplate and leather so soft it’s almost ridiculous – it’s good to see the Tiempo Legend IV' on top of it’s silo again, as it offers great value for money.

Costing £130 / $165 US, expect to see the Tiempo Legend IV' – Soar / White' in stores from October 1st 2012.
