The Superfly III hasn’t exactly been a wallflower since it’s launch early this year. But beating all the other bright colourways so far is the new Superfly III – Volt/Imperial Purple/Retro football boots!
Having caught an early glimpse of the Superfly III – Volt/Imperial Purple/Retro last week, we knew that the latest Mercurials were going to be bright, but buy – we had no idea just how eye-meltingly bright they were going to be!
We all know that adidas have had a love affair with their ‘electricity’ football boots since the Predator_X last December, but Nike have used their equivalent ‘Volt’ relatively sparingly.
It’s graced the Superfly III before on the CR Safari II, and we’ve seen it on the last-ever T90 Laser III colourway, but it is definitely out in full force here on the Superfly III – Volt/Imperial Purple/Retro.
For such a gaudy colour, we think the teaming with the ‘Retro’ blue on the heel is definitely one of the classiest we’ve seen on Nike’s Speed football boots so far.
Another interesting colour combination is the Black SenseStuds on the soleplate. As many will know, the Superfly III has stuck to Volt SenseStuds so far in it’s lifespan, so the introduction of a more solid black colour on the Superfly III – Volt/Imperial Purple/Retro certainly works well contrasted against the dark carbon fibre.
As well as the Superfly III – Volt/Imperial Purple/Retro, the Mercurial Vapor VII also launches in the same colourway. We’ve opted to show it off here with a gorgeous SG soleplate, but as you can see, it’s every bit as attractive as it’s stablemate.
The Superfly III – Volt/Imperial Purple/Retro is available from 1st October 2011, for £279.99/$429.99 and the Mercurial Vapor VII retails at £149.99/$219.99.
