VIDEO: ASHLEY COLE’S NIKE iD BOOTS

Ashley Cole is a player that knows how to get people talking – so he’s an ideal candidate to promote the new features on Nike iD!

Nike shot us over this video earlier today which shows the Chelsea left-back running some night-time drills to break in his new Nike iD CTR360 football boots!

In Lyon Blue and White with Red accents, this CTR360 is a perfect match for his Chelsea FC Home kit and wouldn’t look too bad with his England shirt, either!

In the video, Ashley gives an insight into what goes into his daily training – similar to when we spoke to Kieran Gibbs earlier in the year – Cole avoids the gym and concentrates more on ball work; must be a left-back thing!

The former-Arsenal man also goes on to speak about his main priority is comfort above all else, making the CTR360 the perfect football boots for him (Though the left-back does say mention his love of the Leather on the CTR’s, which we all know is synthetic KangaLite, but we’ll let him off!)

We think Cole’s boots have a nice, clean, athletic look to them – so we commend him on his designer skills – but what we really want to know is; will Cole be wearing these cleats this weekend?

The new CTR360 II‘s have just landed, and we’re sure that Nike will be keen to have one of their key wearers in them – but will Cole want to part with his new football boots after only just getting them?

I guess we’ll find out this weekend!!

im suprised most nike wearers dont wear customized boots, considering all except the superfly are available online (although im sure nike would be willing to do a favor for somebody promoting them)

Fascinating that Cole and Milner are customizing original CTR’s while the new versions are coming out.

Pro’s normally don’t get custom-coloured versions because Nike want them to wear the latest colourways to draw public attention to them. Simple as. The thing is, on the new colours they get a lot of custom features such as perfect fitting and names and numbers etc etc so in a way pros never wear stock boots, they customize them always, just not always the colour.

And now I guess they are getting them custom boots to advertise that they added some features to Nike ID. But the fact it’s CTRs at the time a new version is coming is a bit confusing.
